Patricia has appeared regularly in the Supreme Court since 1998 in all forms of property dispute, and in the Land and Environment Court in planning, mining and compensation matters. She has also appeared in matters involving future acts and native title applications under the Native Title Act 1993.

Patricia is a senior lecturer in law at Sydney University in Land Law, Property and Commercial Law, and Interpretation and at the Australian National University in Statutory Interpretation. She is the senior author of Sale of Land in NSW – Commentary and Materials 6th Edition with Simon Chapple SC and Dr Derwent Coshott, and was the first Registrar of the National Native Title Tribunal.
