Mr Lawrence was called to the bar having worked as a solicitor for the ODPP since 2017. He was most recently a Solicitor Advocate and before that a Senior Legal Adviser in the Director’s Chambers of the ODPP.

Before working at the ODPP, Mr Lawrence worked in private practice in civil litigation, primarily focused around insurance litigation including interntional torts, injury, property damage, professional indemnity and policy disputes.

Mr Lawrence has been admitted as a solicitor since April 2012 and in that time has had the opportunity to run jury trials in the District Court, appear in a number of Local Court hearings, as well as Supreme Court bail lists, District Court sentences, and a variety of other matters.
